About Nicole
Hi, I’m Nicole (she/her). As a therapist, I’m experienced, open-minded, and down-to-earth, always striving to make my clients feel comfortable. In terms of my style, I tend to be fairly direct and also like to use humour in sessions when appropriate. In terms of theories and techniques, I draw heavily from attachment-based, existential, psychodynamic and trauma-informed traditions, and will happily integrate cognitive behavioural and dialectical behaviourally informed skill-building and other approaches when useful.
Below are just a few of the areas we can explore; please see my “Services” section for more possibilities:
overcoming feeling “stuck” in life or changing unwanted habits;
recovery from intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviours;
breaking free of unhealthy relationship patterns;
questions regarding identity, vocation, creativity, and meaning;
adult survivors of dysfunctional family relationships;
managing anxiety and uncertainty;
coping with grief and loss, and more…
Because I want to ensure a good fit, I always conduct free initial 20 minute consultations with potential clients. Additionally, a number of reduced fee spots are available for those who need them; please don’t hesitate to ask about this. If interested, feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a consultation.
